Skills Fund’s goal is simple: Build the best financing tools for the best bootcamps and their students. With a team of leaders in student lending, higher education and consumer protection, Skills Fund applies a wide foundation of expertise to create a financing platform that is transparent, fast, and offers financial flexibility. Skills Fund believes bootcamps, lenders, and industry should share in student success - and that’s what we’re working daily to make happen.
We start by asking schools the right questions about their application process, acceptance rates, curriculum, qualifications of staff, and student outcomes. Then, both Skills Fund and our strategic financing partner, Iowa Student Loan, perform an extensive evaluation to ensure partner schools are setting the bar high and paving a way to student success.
Yes, several of them. While being mindful of the fact that Skills Fund isn't a government regulator or an accreditor, we commit to doing our absolute best to ensure we're only partnering with schools that deliver a tangible Return On Education (RoE) for all students.
Despite our diligent efforts, sometimes we're just not a fit - culturally or operationally. Other times, we have concerns that a school will not be able to deliver on their promises made to students.
For this reason, our quality assurance efforts are continuous and never ending. We believe every student deserves RoE, and we're committed to realizing this for students from across the country.
U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible to apply for a Skills Fund loan.
We’ve worked closely with our partner programs to provide students - of all backgrounds and walks of life - access to competitive financing. As long as you meet the basic underwriting criteria - such as you are a US citizen / permanent resident, with no recent bankruptcies nor history of default on a public or private loan - you'll most likely qualify for a Skills Fund loan.
International Students: At this time we are only able to issue loans to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
We worked with partner schools to ensure as many of their students have access to competitive financing. Please see your specific bootcamp’s Skills Fund site for further details.
